Manager Tony catches Nikola and James selling company projects to a rival, but instead of reporting them he offers a deal: help him fake the theft of the paper-only industrial plans and share the money. To make it look real, Tony ties them hand and foot on the office floor and pulls tight cleave gags between their teeth, then reveals he never intended to share anything and plans to destroy every trace of the robbery. Left alone, the two men struggle against the ropes, crawl out of the room, find a phone with no charge and make it downstairs, only to find the front door locked. In the next scene they are tied to chairs in the office, gagged with cloth stuffed in their mouths and duct tape wrapped around their heads, watching a timer count down while visitors knock and leave without hearing them.
